People Seeking Sanctuary Join Nature, Connection and Wellbeing Programme

Some of our clients recently took part in a Nature, Connection and Wellbeing Programme, led by Claire Fuller - an Occupational Therapist, Eco-Sensory Therapy Practitioner, and Trainee Wilderness Therapist.

This nature-based group therapy initiative is designed to support people seeking sanctuary in building connections with themselves, their communities, and the natural world around them.

As part of the programme, a group of women visited a local area of natural beauty in Devon, where they shared food, learnt about herbal remedies, and experienced the restorative power of nature.

The programme offered space for reflection, relaxation and joy, helping participants build confidence, reduce stress, and foster a deeper sense of belonging and wellbeing.

Thank you to Claire for such a kind invitation and offering to Refugee Support Devon - the wonderful women we support had a brilliant time.
