Giving Tuesday: Help us support refugees in Devon

This winter, refugees and asylum seekers living in Devon as well as new arrivals will require all kinds of support, and Refugee Support Devon is experiencing unprecedented calls on its services. As you may be aware, recently-arrived asylum seekers are being placed in hotels around Devon, from Paignton and Torquay in the South to Ilfracombe in the North.

RSD is playing a pivotal role in providing support to hundreds of people as well as working with other voluntary organisations to meet some of the most basic needs of the increasing number of new arrivals.

We are therefore calling on our supporters and members of the public to give generously as part of Giving Tuesday (Tuesday 29 November).

Your donation will help us to provide vital services to refugees and newly arrived asylum seekers in Devon.

In fact...

£10 would cover the cost of a SIM card for an asylum seeker to call RSD and its partners, as well as relatives left behind in their home countries.

£25 would help meet the cost of vital needs assessments for each new arrival.

£50 would contribute towards training new local volunteers facing the unfamiliar challenges of supporting unexpected new arrivals.
