ESOL/employability volunteer opportunities available!

We are currently looking for...

1. ESOL tutors for all levels. You must have a CELTA at least and some experience of working in ESOL/EFL. You’ll be working with clients of all nationalities either online or face-to-face.

2. OET volunteers to teach on a medical English course to qualified medical professionals wishing to enter the NHS. You must have at least a CELTA, preferably a DELTA, and considerable experience of teaching EFL/ English for Special Purposes. Training for teaching the OET materials will be given online (about 5 – 6 hours) before you can join the team. We are a registered Premium Preparation Provider for OET and have a small team of teachers building up our experience in this type of teaching. You do not need to have a medical background, but an interest in the field is essential.

3. Employability volunteers are needed to work with individual clients at any stage of their journey into work. You will signpost the client to relevant sources of information and opportunities for further training or work. Some experience of local agencies would be helpful.

All these posts require a commitment for 6 – 12 months at least offering 1 – 2 hours per week at a time to be arranged according to your availability. If you think you can help, please contact Denise (07498 723339, education@refugeesupportdevon.org.uk) for more information. Thank you!
